Ireland has a deep and varied history and much of this can be seen in the landscape today. From amazing natural features and scenery to stunning architecture, and all of this washed down with a rich cultural heritage. This 12 day tour takes you on a mammoth tour of Ireland enjoying cultural highlights and historic landscapes along the way. The name says it all “places to see before you die”, this tour includes some of Irelands must see attractions. Enjoy days of touring and relaxing and nights of traditional Irish entertaining. Travel in our luxury coaches and hear from experienced guides along the way. Experience everything wild and wonderful that this beautiful island has to offer.
Day 1: Arrive Shannon Airport
Our luxury coach will great you at Shannon Airport, meet your guide and driver for the trip.  Drive to Limerick City, enjoy some free time.  Overnight in Limerick.  Accommodation at 4* hotel with breakfast and dinner.
Day 2: Limerick & Kerry
See some sites of Limerick, like King John’s Castle and the Treaty Stone, driving south see Listowel Castle and Ardfert Cathedral.  Then taking the beautiful Slea Head, one of the most beautiful driving routes in the country, we drive into the pretty town of Dingle, visiting Gallarus Castle and Oratory on the way.  From Dingle we drive into Killarney, staying tonight in Killarney.

Day 3: Killarney National Park & Blarney Castle
Today visit the Killarney National Park, see Torc Waterfall, Muckross House and Gardens and Muckross Friary, and see the beautiful sights of the famous Lakes of Killarney.  Departing Killarney visit Blarney Castle and kiss the Blarney Stone, getting the Irish gift of the gab!  Drive to the pretty Heritage Town of Cashel, visiting the Rock of Cashel, Ireland’s most visited site, evening free in Cashel, staying here overnight.

Day 4: Hook Head Lighthouse & Glendalough
Depart the hotel early today and drive to Hook Peninsula, a wild and rugged landscape, visit Hook Head Lighthouse and have a guided tour of the oldest working lighthouse in Europe, see the hauntingly eerie Loftus Hall and hear all about its many ghosts.  Visit the Dunbrody Famine Ship, get a colourful guided tour of the ship, and learn what it was really like on board.  In the afternoon visit Glendalough the wonderfully preserved 6th Century Christian settlement, before driving into Dublin, where we will stay overnight.

Day 5: Dublin City
Today enjoy a relaxing day in Dublin city, see wonderful Georgian architecture, medieval buildings, historic museums and houses, delightful, shops and bars.  We will provide you with a Dublin pass that gives you free access to some of the best sites in Dublin.  Enjoy the sites of Dublin and relax in the capitals many bars and restaurants, staying again in Dublin tonight.

Day 6: Brú Na Bóinne Visitor Centre & Hill of Tara
Leave the capital behind and travel north into historic County Meath, see the ancient monuments, older than the pyramids, visit Brú na Bóinne Visitor Centre and visit the monuments of Newgrange or Knowth.  See the ancient seat of the High Kings of Ireland, on the Hill of Tara, take a guided tour and learn about the hundreds of years of history surrounding this landmark.  In the afternoon we will travel north of the border into Northern Ireland, to stay in Belfast, see the wonderful architecture of this historic city.

Day 7: Giant’s Causeway & North Antrim Coast
Today take the scenic north Antrim Coastline drive, from the port town of Larne to the beautiful beaches of Portrush, visit the Giant’s Causeway and hear the myths and legends of how the causeway was built, walk across the Carrick-a-Rede Rope bridge, but don’t look down!  Drive futher up the coast and see the town of Ballycastle, home to the historic Ol Lammas Fair and see the breathtaking cliff top ruins of Dunluce Castle, hear about the Banshee of Dunluce.  Driving further along the coast, take in the beautiful sites along the way, staying in Letterkenny in Donegal for the night.

Day 8: Donegal Castle, Carrowmore & Lough Gill
Today drive through the beautiful county of Donegal, visiting Donegal Castle, driving into County Sligo, visit the ancient Megalithic Cemetery at Carrowmore, the largest in Ireland.  Drive by Lough Gill and hear the legend of how the lake got its name, visiting Parke’s Castle, a stunning 17th Century Castle, on the shores of Lough Gill, before driving to Sligo town for our overnight stay.

Day 9: Clew Bay & Connemara
Today drive from Sligo, into Westport in County Mayo, drive to Clew bay and see the beautiful sites across to Clare Island, taking a beautiful drive down the coast and into the rugged, wild and stunning landscapes of Connemara, visiting the Connemara History & Heritage centre, learn about Irish life, even try your hand at traditional Irish turf cutting, and take a sod back home with yoy.  See Derryclare Lough, an eerily untouched and rugged landscape, staying in Connemara.

Day 10: Aran Islands & Galway City
Today we depart early to take a boat ride out to Inis Mór, the biggest of the Aran Islands, here we will meet up with Bertie, an islander born and reared on the island, who will take us on a bus tour of the island, seeing sites such as Dún Aonghasa.  After our island excursion we will head back to the mainland, and into Galway City, take the afternoon to enjoy the wonderful beauty of this friendly western city, sample the entertainment tonight as we stay in Galway city for the night.

Day 11: Clare Coast & Cliffs of Moher
We depart early and drive from Galway city down along the coast of County Clare, stopping off at the striking Cliffs of Moher, taking a guided tour of the Cliffs and learning about the history surrounding the cliffs in the visitor centre,  also see O’Brien’s Tower.  Drive to the Craggaunowen Pre-Historic Park, discover how people in ancient Ireland lived.  Staying in Limerick tonight enjoy a Traditional Irish Night, including dinner, drinks and Irish music in the hotel.

Day 12: Shannon Airport
As our mammoth tour of Ireland comes to an end we shall bid a fond fairwell and depart for Shannon Airport.
